I'm here to tell you YES! Making money online is a real and viable source of income. I earn a full time living with online marketing and I'm going to share with you three simple ways to make money.
Writing - Ever heard the phrase "content is king"? Well, it's true. And unique content commands the attention of search engines and the bulk of web surfers. People want text! They want new stories, how-to guides, and informative reports every single day, just like they would expect from their local newspaper.
There can never be enough new content on the internet. And because people want to read the latest headlines, search engines are constantly tracking down the latest and greatest content on the web and pushing it to the top of the search results. This means that anybody who can put together a cohesive sentence has a legitimate shot at making money online.
You can start your own free blog and make money by linking to affiliate products. Or you can write articles and content for websites and get paid for your prose. You can also write your own eBook and partner up with an affiliate network, gaining thousands of online salesman overnight! On the internet, writing is one of the strongest abilities a person can have if they want to earn an online income.
Surveys - When it comes to surveys, do believe the hype! I've personally experimented with these sites to test their legitimacy and amazingly enough, I did get paid for completing simple surveys. The pay range is typically low, anywhere from $1 to $3 for a short survey. But I found that I could complete a $1 survey about every 5 minutes, which is roughly $12 an hour. That's not bad for sitting on your butt and typing on the keyboard.
To earn a decent wage by taking surveys, you will need to be extremely organized and (more importantly) disciplined! If you're a stay at home mom or you have a few extra hours to burn every day, you can definitely earn a nice monthly paycheck by participating in online survey programs. One word of caution: Never pay to join a survey site! The legitimate survey sites are 100% free to join.
Marketing For Others - To be successful on the internet, a company needs exposure, and exposure takes dedicated work. There really is no "set and forget" method to getting free web traffic (unless you run a PPC campaign of course, but those can be very expensive and must always have a full time manager to monitor the account).
Traffic generation can be acquired through a variety of methods: articles, blogging, social bookmarking, videos, forums, question-and-answer-sites, and many other methods. Outside of marketing for your own profit, you can offer your online marketing services to other companies and get paid very well for your time. I charge anywhere from $85 to $150 per hour for my marketing skills, and my clients are very happy with their results!
Those are three great methods for making money online, and I can honestly say that I've earned a paycheck from each one. If you are serious about making money on the internet, you should start by performing your own research and studying how internet marketing works at every level. There are plenty of free, online sources that can show you the ropes for practically every method of marketing. Article Directory sites are an immense resource, and they are free to search and read!
A word of caution to the new internet marketer: keep your money in your wallet! There are marketers out there who specialize in selling material to newbies. They will promise you the moon in exchange for your $67 or $99. Don't do it! Keep your credit card in your wallet and start learning as much as you can by reading the content that is freely available. Good luck with your online marketing career!
